Soft drinks are the most popular drinks of all time showing a percentage of 28.3% among all the beverages based on the survey conducted by the American Beverage Association in 2005. And that is just in 2005. Think how much it would have garnered today when most of our youngsters is hooked on getting a soda every now and then.

Some kids even forget to drink water and seem content with having a Coke or Pepsi to quench their thirst. Other than these two leading brands, more and more soda products are coming out and taking a cut on the demand of the drinking public.

* Bottled water. Not tap water but bottled water. Why so? The issue of being able to drink clean water has been and is continuing to be an issue worldwide. People are more and more concerned of getting sick due to thoughtless drinking of water without checking on the source. As bottled water seems like the most hygienic and sanitary alternative, more and more people are drinking water by the bottle.

Companies who make it their business to bottle water have been gaining greater sales these days. This is not surprising as bottled water is generally considered convenient for a lot of people, more particularly for those who do frequent travels and for working professionals who are following busy schedules but can do with a bottle of water to keep them refreshed in between business meetings. Yes, water is still the in thing but it should be bottled.

* Milk. Might come as a surprise for some people but yes, milk is still one of the favorite beverages these days. Milk comes in with a 10.09% share of the popularity. Perhaps, all the infants and babies may have something to contribute to this but we really cannot deny that there is a distinctive taste that milk offers that makes it so likeable for both young and adults. What the heck, even Santa Claus is said to drink a glass before he goes back to his sled.

For one, milk is good for you. Moms and dads cannot stress that enough as they coach the youngster to drink a bottle before going to bed each night. And why not, milk is a good source of calcium. It keeps your bones strong and kids should be able to take their love for milk at an early age to keep them going until they grow older.
